POSITION SUMMARY:

People are at the heart and soul of our friendly establishment. That’s why we’re looking for an organized, positive, and hard-working individual to be our Busser .

In this role, our team will rely on you to maintain clean, well-set tables, providing a welcoming environment for every patron - support the service staff as you go.

On a typical shift, you may start by setting up the dining area - making sure tables are clean and tidy for our guests. During service, you'll be busy clearing dishes, wiping down tables, and helping to keep the café looking its best.

Your people skills will shine as you interact with folks from all walks of life, including our locals and visitors from across the globe. This is a fast-paced job, but you'll have the support of the whole café team.

As the café's pace slows and picks up depending on the time and the day, you'll adapt quickly, ensuring every guest leaves looking forward to their next visit. By the end of your shift, you'll have played an important role in ensuring our guests enjoy their time in our historic café and have the satisfaction of knowing you're part of what makes this place so special.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Swiftly clear and reset tables after guests depart to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining room, including floors, windows, and table settings.
• Provide support to the service staff by refilling water and beverages, stocking service stations, and aiding with the delivery of food and craft cocktails when needed.
• Engage with guests in a courteous and friendly manner, enhancing their experience in our historic café.
• Uphold our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure a seamless service, particularly during peak hours.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to anticipate where you can pitch in without being asked.
• Able to work well under pressure, especially during busy hours, while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting warmly with guests and working effectively with team members.
• Physical stamina and mobility to perform various tasks like lifting, carrying, and moving through the dining and kitchen areas swiftly.
• Willingness to learn about our menu of craft cocktails, brews, and menu items to assist guests and support service staff effectively.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety protocols
• Experience in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment is a bonus but not required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Wage: $12/ hour + tips

Schedule: Part-Time, Must have the flexibility to work all shifts, including weekends.
