Job Title: Chemical EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to perform all chemical process functions related to chemical batching. This role involves conducting root cause analysis (RCA) to troubleshoot batching issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) for both internal and external challenges. You will be responsible for scaling up and commercializing new formulas, adjusting existing formulas, and validating all manufacturing and quality processes and specifications. Additionally, you will perform in-process batch adjustments, support production scaling to meet product specifications, and analyze production and laboratory data to optimize processes and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal production issues.

• Ensure all batch adjustments are executed accurately when raw materials or formulas change.

• Scale up and commercialize new formulas and products, ensuring correct implementation.

• Analyze production data and quality data to identify optimization and cost reduction opportunities.

• Participate in the disposition of non-conforming materials and support deviation management.

• Mentor and coach fellow engineers and quality and production personnel in continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

• 1-5 years of experience in chemical engineering or chemical process engineering.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve customer complaints and internal production issues.

• Experience with root cause analysis and implementation of CAPA.

• Expertise in chemical manufacturing, quality control, and process engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience in scale-up and commercialization processes.

• Familiarity with chemical equipment and laboratory practices.

• Knowledge of new product development and chemical processing.

Work Environment

This position operates in a chemical manufacturing environment, working across offices, laboratories, production areas, and production labs. The role follows a first shift schedule from Monday through Friday, with flexible working hours typically ranging from 40 to 45 hours per week, extending to 50 hours during major projects or issues. You will collaborate with various organizational levels, including R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Customers, Sales, and leadership roles.

This is a Permanent position based out of Germantown, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
