Complex Litigation Associate Attorney

Practice Area : Complex Commercial Litigation

Location : New York, NY (Onsite)

Salary : $225,000 - $250,000

We are seeking an accomplished associate to join our client's dynamic litigation team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload of high-stakes commercial disputes from inception to resolution. The successful candidate will be a key player in all phases of the litigation lifecycle, including drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery requests, preparing for and conducting depositions of both fact and expert witnesses, and drafting and arguing substantive motions. A significant portion of the work involves navigating New York State and federal courts and will also include negotiating on behalf of a bespoke client-base on complex matters through arbitration and other alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mediums. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a large law firm setting and will have the opportunity to engage in complex regulatory work, with an emphasis on administrative law.

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with honors, distinction or other extracurricular achievement.
• Active and in good standing license to practice law in the State of New York or the ability to waive in.
• 4+ years of experience practicing in complex commercial litigation

Preferred Skills :

• Superb legal drafting, writing, oral argument and debate skill.
• Proven success in complex commercial litigation matters.
• Experience with multinational arbitration.
• Direct experience with regulatory matters , specifically with federal agency requirements.
• Prior trial experience or extensive litigation support
