Job Description

The goal of Mygrant Glass Company is to provide friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt service to our wholesale auto glass customers.

Mygrant Glass was founded in 1926 by the Mygrant family and has grown to a national company with over 88 locations and growing. Mygrant Glass remains a wonderful family-owned business that strives to attract and keep quality personnel.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Qualified applicants will be required to submit for drug screening.

Requirements:

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Meet the delivery schedule in a timely manner.
• Inspect, load, and deliver automotive glass.
• Verify customer order is accurate – quantity and quality.
• Contact the supervisor immediately if an error is made.
• Must have adequate physical strength to frequently unload, load, and lift automotive glass weighing up to 35 pounds with occasional parts weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Delivery of auto glass products to the customer accurately.
• Report any damaged items to your supervisor.
• Safe driving habits at all times.
• Use modern computer systems – iPads and Bluetooth accessories.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must communicate with other departments to ensure customer needs are exceeded.
• The job includes sitting, lifting, stooping, and walking.
• Prepare and complete warehouse orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule.
• Prepare customer order – cleaning and inspecting the glass.
• Package customer orders by providing protective materials attached to the glass.
• Load customer orders into delivery vehicles.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections.

Mygrant in 1945, who transitioned the business to wholesale in 1952 and grew it to as many as 6 locations by 1966. Grandson Michael R. Mygrant took over the one remaining location in 1979 and now, Great-Granddaughter Lisa Mygrant is CEO of 88 locations nationwide, making Mygrant Glass Co., Inc. the largest wholesale distributor of auto glass in the United States. Today, Mygrant Glass is headquartered in Hayward, Ca., and is committed to maintaining the highest standard of service and the most extensive inventories possible. We stock both OEM and generic brands from over 30 different factories around the world in an effort to provide our customers with the broadest choice of high-quality glass in the industry. Unlike some other wholesalers, we never compete with our customers. We do not own or operate any retail glass shops, nor do we carry architectural or commercial glass - we are focused solely on being an auto glass distributor.
