Find your future with us. **Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)** is currently seeking a **Functional Test Subject Matter Expert (Level D)** to join our team in **Final Assembly** located in **North Charleston, South Carolina** on **1st shift** ! Successful candidates will be responsible for performing tasks in the following areas: factory floor, flight line, shop area, at height, confined spaces and others. They must be a dynamic, self-motivated teammate. This position is to support the high demand needs of the Final Assembly Production Test team. The shop supports the 787 program over the entire North Charleston site; working all manner of production tests. **Position Responsibilities:** + Develops and implements manufacturing processes + Provides concurrent engineering support + Defines production activities and resolves problems of limited scope + Reviews and approves technical documents + Analyzes charging trends and develops projected workforce forecast + Assists with the preparation and justification for major capital expenditures and equipment implementation + Leads projects and participates in technical research on proposed projects + Serves as primary contact with internal customers + Translates data into a practical plan for implementation within the organization + Compiles and provides management status reports for corrective/preventative action **This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.** **Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.** **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):** + 5+ years of experience or training reading and interpreting drawings or blueprints + 5+ years of experience working in or supporting a manufacturing environment + 5+ years of experience in aircraft manufacturing working with cabin production testing + Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Ability to obtain Confined Space Certification + Experience developing root cause corrective actions + 3+ years of experience working with operations personnel, production test engineers **Relocation:** Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
