Leasing Agent

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual that is looking for growth potential in a growing company.

BTR Haus Communities is currently seeking a full-time Leasing Agent to join their team in the Akron area . This position will be responsible for leasing at two of our Built-to-Rent apartment locations and will split time between the two sites based on lead traffic at the two locations.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
• 9 AM – 6 PM
• 5 days a week including Saturdays (Sundays off)

Our ideal Leasing Agent will have:

• Experience in the apartment management field is a plus, but not required
• Willing to train ambitious individuals eager to learn
• Ability to maintain a clean and organize workplace for those that visit the office
• Sales or hospitality background is a major plus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Persuasive marketing and sales skills
• Customer Service Orientation
• Excellent organizational skills

Our Leasing Agent will be responsible for:

• Provide tours of the apartment communities to prospective residents for the purpose of leasing apartments
• Keep accurate and detailed records of phone and walk-in traffic utilizing approved traffic logs and guest cards
• Successfully find new homes to prospective residents and be able to explain why our homes and services are the best fit for them
• Maintain thorough product knowledge of the property, sister properties, and competitors
• Assist the manager in developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to increase property traffic and internet leads
• Adhere to all laws including the Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartment rental
• Manage the tenant lifecycle by being knowledgeable and organized with all lease-related paperwork, including processing applications, preparing move-in information, managing lease files, managing renewal letters/leases, completing brochures, completing move out requests, and any other forms utilized for leasing and resident relations
