Annual Salary Range: $70,700 – $99,800 (Equivalent to $34–$48/hour, Based on Experience)
Shift Differentials: +$4 Nights & Weekends

An established surgical services team in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join a dynamic perioperative department.
This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and want to work in a nationally recognized facility known for advanced surgical programs, multidisciplinary collaboration, and a strong culture of safety and support.
Day and night shifts are available, with self-scheduling posted four weeks in advance to promote work-life balance and schedule predictability.
Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures across multiple service lines.
Assess patients before surgery and provide perioperative education to patients and families.
Prepare the OR for procedures, including verifying surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to ensure seamless operations.
Monitor patients intraoperatively, respond to changes in condition, and document care accurately.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to surgical protocols and infection prevention standards.
Participate in pre-op and post-op briefings and debriefings per hospital policy.
Demonstrate critical thinking, leadership, and evidence-based practice in all aspects of perioperative care.
Required:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Compact State
Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (scrub and/or circulate)
Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
CNOR certification
Experience in Level I Trauma or large academic hospital setting
