Position Overview:
Dayton Granger, Inc. (DG) is a third-generation, family-owned, fully integrated aerospace and aviation component manufacturer located just four miles from Fort Lauderdale's beaches. We design, test, and produce antennas, electrostatic dischargers, and lightning protection systems for military, commercial, and general aviation programs worldwide.

We are seeking a hands-on RF/Electronics Technician to work closely with our engineering team to bring prototypes to life, set up and run RF/antenna tests, troubleshoot and fine-tune performance, and ensure every product meets the highest standards of quality and reliability. With over 82 years in the industry, DG combines the stability of a long-standing leader with the close-knit feel of a small company—providing the opportunity to work on cutting-edge avionics technology in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in transitioning engineering prototypes into production in collaboration with the engineering team.
  • Conduct, analyze, and troubleshoot a variety of antenna and RF tests, including setting up test sequences and interpreting results.
  • Support circuit board and antenna assembly processes and fabrication of test fixtures.
  • Diagnose and resolve product issues, providing hands-on support to ensure quality and reliability in production.
  • Document test results, maintain records, and develop test reports and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management 
  • Follows all DG safety procedures as per company policies and per the Facility Engineer/Safety Director

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electronics, technical training, or equivalent military experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in RF/electronics or antenna testing.
  • Familiarity with setting up test sequences and interpreting test data.
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment such as network analyzers, amplifiers, ohmmeters, and soldering tools.
  • Knowledge of antenna tuning, Smith Charts, and basic electronic troubleshooting.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with antenna testing on aircraft is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
