The Scrum Master facilitates agile/scrum processes for development teams. This role ensures adherence to Scrum practices, removes obstacles, cultivates a high-performing team, and drives continuous improvement and value delivery to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as a servant-leader and coach to Agile development teams.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, review, retrospective).
- Help the team maintain the sprint backlog, manage velocity, and deliver commitments.
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress.
- Foster collaboration among product owners, developers, testers, and stakeholders.
- Support the product owner in maintaining the product backlog, prioritization, and refinement.
- Track and report team metrics (burndown, velocity, cycle time).
- Promote continuous improvement and agile best practices.
- Shield the team from distractions and help manage dependencies.
- Facilitate cross-team coordination and integration.
- Support the adoption of agile across the program/organization.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience working in agile environments as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Strong understanding of Scrum/Agile frameworks and practices.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
- Experience working with software development teams in enterprise or government settings.
- Ability to work with remote/distributed teams.
- Familiarity with agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent.
- Experience in IT modernization/government systems.
- Experience scaling agile (SAFe, LeSS, etc.).
- Experience in a technical background to understand development/architecture concepts.
