Senior Property Accountant up to $115,000/yr

A property investment and development company is looking for an experienced Senior Property Accountant to become part of their team. The position provides the chance to oversee accounting tasks for a portfolio of intricate, mixed-use properties, aiding in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and additional responsibilities. You will work alongside property management and finance teams in a lively, rapid-moving setting with numerous chances for career advancement.

What the job offers:

• Compensation up to $115,000/year
• Bonus 10% of base salary

• Hybrid schedule – 3 days in office and 2 days remote

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting for properties
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages
• Oversee cash receipts and monitor outstanding receivables in coordination with property management
• Review and approve invoices using Nexus (AP software)
• Prepare CAM (Common Area Maintenance), property tax, and utility reimbursements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and preparing lender and audit reporting packages
• Coordinate with joint venture partners and lease administration teams to ensure financial accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of real estate accounting experience
• Proficiency in property management/ERP software, ideally Yardi Voyager
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA is a plus
• Experience working with mixed-use properties
• Experience with paperless AP systems is a plus
