Job Description

Description Growing real estate company is seeking a Sr Property Accountant to support their corporate accounting. DUTIES · Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting packages. · Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment. · Reconcile monthly bank statements. · Calculate monthly management and asset management fees. · Monitor daily cash balances. · Review coding and approve monthly payables. · Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets. · Review annual common area maintenance reconciliations. · Maintain open communication with property managers and accounting team. · Perform reforecast and cash analysis projections when necessary. · Review leases and lease input to insure accurate billings. · Oversee accounts receivable process to ensure proper application of payments. · Work closely with auditors to ensure accurate financial records and tax team to facilitate timely reconciliations and filings. · Work closely with joint venture partners and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. · Other various duties as assigned by management. Requirements REQUIREMENTS + Bachelor's degree in Accounting + High proficiency in Microsoft Excel + Experience with MRI accounting software preferred. + Deep understanding of GAAP, financial accounting processes and general ledger reconciliation. + Strong organizational, communication, quantitative and analytical skills. + Proficient in standard office software such as Word and Excel. + Candidate must exemplify accuracy, integrity, problem solving, and teamwork competencies. + Exceptional work ethic.
