Radiology Technologist Needed for a Hospital in Brooklyn

Full-time temp position



Overview:
A hospital in Brooklyn, is looking for a radiology technologist.



Position Summary
Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with
ingenuity and initiative to apply diagnosis. Performs duties according to age and condition of
patient. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. Possesses
knowledge of human growth and development.



Responsibilities

• Positions and transfers patients to the examination table.
  Provides immobilization devices as required.
  Selects proper technical factors on an individual basis.
  Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all diagnostic equipment use within the
  department or satellite areas. All necessary equip. is used properly and with
  professionalism. Use initiative when reporting equip. malfunctions to supervisors or
  service organizes.
  Operates stationery and mobile x-ray equipment and processes images according to
  established procedures and send them to PACS.
  Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards.
  Assists physicians in preparing and administering contrast media for various special
  procedures.
  Responsible for delegated areas of authority in the performance of routine or special
  procedures.
  Practices sterile techniques and adheres to infection control policies.
  Provides a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgement
  with ingenuity and initiative to apply diagnosis.
  Performs all other duties as required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Radiologic Technologist, NYS & ARRT Certification.

Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training in a AMA approved school.

Minimal formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent.
