Control Room Operator

New Carlisle, IN | Full-Time | 1st Shift

We’re looking for a Control Room Operator to serve as the crew leader and right hand to the Supervisor, overseeing slitter/scorer operations and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across the shift.

What You’ll Do

• Operate and oversee the slitter/scorer, ensuring accurate setup, smooth production, and safe operation.
• Lead the crew in achieving shift goals for safety, throughput, quality, and waste reduction.
• Input and verify machine and order specifications, execute order changes, and track remakes.
• Perform visual and physical quality checks, including product integrity tests.
• Communicate across teams to adjust production, troubleshoot issues, and resolve jams safely.
• Submit and support maintenance work orders while assisting with preventive maintenance.
• Coach and support team members, helping build skill and confidence on the line.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and promote a clean, efficient work environment.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
• Leadership experience in a team environment.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience monitoring and operating complex control systems (DCS or similar).
• Strong math and measurement skills for accuracy on the job.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (occasionally 100 lbs).
