Tesoro Group is seeking a Leasing Agent to join one of our long-term’s team at (1) of their properties in Minneapolis, MN (55406). The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in property management (as a leasing agent to assistant property manager) knowledge and fair housing in market rate + properties. This role is contracted to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire for the right candidate.

Salary: $21-$25/hour DOQ.

Schedule: This role will be working Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm. This role is contracted to hire (90 days before conversion) or can go direct hire for the right candidate.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome all prospective residents warmly.
• Respond timely, to inquiries promptly, via phone, email or in-person to address questions and schedule property tours.
• Keep accurate records of both phone and walk-in traffic.
• Conduct tours of available units and community to prospective residents.
• Communicate the unique features and benefits of our apartments and community amenities
• Screens rental applications and qualifies potential residents.
• Prepare leases for future residents.
• Assists with renewals
• Complies with all Federal and local Fair Housing regulations and ordinances.
• Assist with questions, maintenance requests, and payment of rent.
• Maintain a professional front office, assisting in administrative tasks as needed.
• Assist in managing special events at your property.
• Perform marketing activities, including opening and closing models, weekly review and update internet ads, update monthly Comparative Marketing Survey, etc.
• Proactively recommend marketing and advertising strategies to ensure proper traffic levels.

Position Requirements:

• 1 years’ experience affordable leasing – section 8 and section 42.
• Knowledge of fair housing rules and regulations.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Excel.
• Be able to successfully complete a Kari Koskinen background check before employment.
